Residential Remodel Portfolio

A view into the ups and downs [read: lessons learned] of attempting to remodel a 1965, 4500 sqf Colonial style home which was known to be in need of work when purchased. Information on each project/room and a catalog of products/items used can be viewed below or jump straight to our YouTube channel here.

SETTING THE SCENE

A Home Designer was engaged early 2020, he has been working on plans to renovate the whole house (3 levels). This work will include multiple structural elements and a small addition. Initial thinking was that this major renovation work would occur late 2022 early 2023, however, with the environmental effects of COVID and a resultant choice to take extended time off to work on the cosmetic (read: non-structural) parts of the house before returning working full-time, the major renovation work has realistically been pushed back at least 12-18mths.

SO FAR

That being said, the DIY has revitalized the house and it is starting to look great. The house feels so much more “livable”. Once the office is completed a return to the work-force will be forth-coming and the remaining remodeling will revert back to a weekend thing…. And as those that have lived through 6 months of remodeling will be aware by then that will be more than welcome!
